View Properties Overview
View Properties in Revit allow you to control the appearance and behavior of views. You can access View Properties by selecting a view in the Project Browser and clicking on the “Properties” button in the Properties palette.
View Property Categories
View Properties are organized into several categories:
1. Graphics: Controls the graphical appearance of the view, including visibility, color, and line weight.
2. Extents: Defines the boundaries of the view, including the crop region and view range.
3. Scale: Sets the scale of the view, including the scale factor and units.
Graphics Properties
Graphics properties control the visual appearance of the view:
1. Visibility: Toggles the visibility of elements in the view.
2. Color: Sets the color scheme for the view, including the background color and element colors.
3. Line Weight: Controls the line weight of elements in the view.
Extents Properties
Extents properties define the boundaries of the view:
1. Crop Region: Defines the crop region of the view, including the shape and size.
2. View Range: Sets the view range, including the top and bottom elevations.
Scale Properties
Scale properties set the scale of the view:
1. Scale Factor: Sets the scale factor of the view, including the units.
2. Units: Sets the units for the view, including feet, inches, and millimeters.
